Where has the Summer Gone!?

Yesterday I completely panicked after realizing that summer is half over! HALF OVER! I slept most of my summer break away! Not that it wasn't lovely being lazy and having no commitments, but I think I took it to the extreme. Now, I'm in a mad dash trying to finish up little things before Isla arrives.

I've been working on my scrapbook, although I'm only at February or March of 2007. Drastically behind. I am realizing though that I take WAY too many pictures. I've thrown out at least half of my pictures from each event. I don't need an entire 5 pages dedicated to a drunk game night or tubing at Afton Alps. I'm starting to wonder if scrafting is really worth it. I have lost all creativity and all of my pages are looking the same. But then regular photo albums are just so boring! I dunno...maybe if I can make a dent in my photos before Isla arrives I'll feel better about continuing.

I have been getting some school stuff done, although it is really hard writing plans without knowing my students and their abilities. I'm trying to at least get an idea of how I want to teach things, and in what order. I'm already dreading writing my sub plans for the second week of September while I finish my maternity leave. I was hoping Isla would come early and I wouldn't have to worry about taking that week off!

Andy and I vacuumed and totally cleaned out our cars today, something that had been bugging me forever. I did my own car, with a tiny bit of Andy's help. It was exhausting, and I'm sure all the bending down wasn't the best for my back, but I'm really trying to get Isla moving!

The rest of my evening will consist of vacuuming the house, doing a quick kitchen clean, getting some laundry done, then watching So You Think You Can Dance while working on school stuff. I can't let anymore summer slip by!

I can't believe we are already in the middle of July! It is going way too fast! It sounds like you got a nice little burst of energy today and hopefully all the moving will make Isla want to come out!

I agree with Alicia! Isla will be here before you know it! I can't wait to meet her :)

I totally know what you mean about summer being half over. July is almost over and volleyball starts for me a month from today!
