Registering

Andy and I finally went and registered for Isla today. Talk about overwhelming!! I was very close to having a full blown panic attack as we walked through the aisles of Babies R Us. They gave us a checklist of things the baby might need...although we had no clue what to really register for. I'm sure we are forgetting some things, but I'm hoping people who already have babies will help us out and get us some of their favorite baby items, or just let us know what to add.

Andy and I bought the crib, dresser, and bedding the day we discovered we were having a girl. (Well, I shouldn't say bought, we picked them out. My wonderful parents were the ones to actually buy these things for us. We are so blessed!) Today we splurged and bought the glider we have been dying to have....

Doesn't it look amazing?! It reclines and it is extra wide so there is plenty of room for us and the baby. Some of the chairs were so tiny and crowded...Andy barely fit :) This glider was definitely pricey, but I think it will be well worth it. Especially on the late nights. We also bought the matching ottoman. I'm pretty sure I will be spending plenty of time relaxing in the room even before Isla arrives.

I will post pictures of the nursery as it becomes more finished!!

Sure you had to mention that I barely fit. Thanks for the fat shout out.

I meant to ask you about registering... I am still a bit stressed about it as well. I have started to do research online though, for the big stuff like car seats, strollers, pack-n-plays, baby carriers, etc. But man, THAT is super overwhelming. Sooo many options.
