Elmhurst Recap

I've been home for almost 3 weeks now. I was supposed to leave Tuesday, but my dad worked late Monday so I wouldn't have been able to hang out with him before I left. Then I was planning on leaving Wednesday, but I wasn't packed or ready. Then, I was supposed to leave today, Thursday, but according to weather.com severe storms are looming in MN and parts of WI and I refuse to drive home in hail. My biggest fear is of course driving into a tornado, and the entire way home that is what I'd be worried about. So today is my LAST day here! I'm getting anxious to go home! I miss my squishy face pupper and of course, my Salmsie.

My time here has been fabulous...I...

*Had the best bachelorette party EVER!
*Drank many nights at Docs and other random places around town.
*Spent the 4th at "Uncle John's" country club and saw the most amazing fireworks! Seriously, ashes were falling on our heads. That is how close we were!
*Had lunch/drinks with high school friends I hadn't seen in FOREVER!
*I got a facial and pedicure. Lovely.
*Had sleepovers with Abb at the Renaissance Hotel in Oakbrook. Room service + in room movies=fabulousness.
*Tanned on the roof of the Renaissance Hotel. Best. Pool. Ever. Seriously...it is never crowded and you are on the roof. How much better could it get?!
*Attended plenty of Robertos happy hours.
*Was involved in a sex intervention. This will forever make me belly laugh.
*Read Skinny Bitch, and now I am terrified of most foods...and that is also why the Subway Sandwich I am eating now does not have cheese on it. Man, it just isn't the same without cheese!
*Did a lot of shopping.
*Had movie nights with Abb.
*Helped Abb clean, pack, and move out of her old house, then unpack and organize her current room.
*Went for many runs on the Prairie Path.
*Went to Tom's new apartment for a game night/grill out. I was so close to winning Clue by the way...thought you should know I'm still a little salty I didn't win.
*Played Mall Madness with Alicia, Angela, and Abb. Again, I didn't win. Still salty.

That is about all of the fun I could squeeze into 3 weeks! Sadly I did no wedding stuff, school stuff, or scrapbooking like I had planned...but there is time for that when I get home!

Summer is already half over. I have been SPOILED. Going back to work is going to be rough.
