Randoms...

* I LOVE biking. I haven't owned a bike in years, and the only bike I had been on prior to this weekend, was a stationary bike at LifeTime. On a whim, Abb and I decided to hit up the Prairie Path for a little bike ride. We ended up going 10 miles and it was quite refreshing. Sunday my dad and I went 20 miles. I was actually very surprised I made it this far! It was certainly an incredible workout (1,021 calories to be exact). Now I'm seriously hooked on biking...but Woodbury doesn't have the best biking trails...you seriously can't beat the Prairie Path! I am considering buying a bike, but I don't want to be one of those people who rides in the street next to cars, and I don't want to end up being this.

* After Alison and Brian's beautiful wedding, I decided it was time to start planning mine. After all, Andy did tell me he thought of proposing in Mexico....so no better time than now to start getting ideas! Check out my wedding dress, INCREDIBLE huh?! Now, officially I am not sure if I will be able to afford this dress...it costs between $3,000-$5,000...which is slightly outrageous, but isn't it fabulous?! You may be thinking, "What about your bridesmaids dresses, have you thought of those?!" The answer is YES! In posie, sugar plum, windsor blue, and clover. I had been debating doing all different colors, or just sticking with one....but I've been to plenty of weddings that just used one color, so I'm wanting to do something different! I also have my bridesmaids picked out, but that is obviously a secret for now.

* Oh, my brother Tom became ordained yesterday. He will now be able to marry Andy and I; he can also do baptisms and funerals if anyone is interested! :)

* The Cicadas are in full effect. These creepy offenders show up every 17 years in different parts of the US, obviously including Elmhurst IL. Not only are they disgusting and covering EVERY tree imaginable, they are LOUD! I was amazed as I drove into Elmhurst and heard the ridiculous buzzing sound these nasty bugs make. The noise was almost unbearable at first, but I've become used to it now. Sadly, they are keeping me from laying outside on this glorious day and tanning. If I could sue the Cicadas, I would.

* I got a job teaching summer school. It is only a 12 day program, but it pays significantly better than Sylvan, so I will be teaching in the morning, then doing Sylvan in the afternoon for a while. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to plan and teach my own lessons, and I'm hoping this will help lead to a job in the district!

That's all for now. Baby steps.

Yay! You blogged! I miss you Betsy, it has been way too long since we've hung out!

I bought a bike late last summer, haven't used it yet this year... but I hope to. For some reason I seriously can't picture you on a bike, I'm a total biyatch, but envisioning it makes me giggle. ;) 20 miles though. Holy balls.

Love the wedding dress, totally suits you, I have no doubt in my mind that your dad would fork over the cash to make his daughter feel beautiful on her wedding day.

Oh, love the bridesmaid dresses too, LOVE t-length dresses, soooo cute and flattering.

And finally, congrats on the summer school job, that's awesome!

Oh, and I forgot, seriously... what is it going to take for us to get Andy to fricken propose? I will do anything, just let me know if there's any way I can speed up the process a bit. ;)

Congrats on the summer job! I'm jealous...it pays really well!

Did Tom seriously get ordained??!!

You should ride your bike on the trail that goes by my house. You would just need to drive your bike here though...and I probably wouldn't go with you because I'm terrified of bikes.

Gorgeous wedding dress...love the bridesmaid dresses too...you should get married the first weekend in August next year (it's my anniversary!!)

Yeah for Biking! I just got a bike last week so I will go on some trails with you. I think we are going to get a baby seat for the back to Colton can go to, but I am a little nervous. What is he starts to throw his arms around and we tip over? Scary!

And the wedding dress is unbelievable! And I love the bridesmaids dresses too! And don't forget the plans for wedding night.. getting pregnant. Becuase I told Frankie we were going to be pregnant buddies so you better be on that!

And Congrats on the job! That is awesome.. but it may cut into our beach time. That could be a problem. I have a yearly pass to Lake Elmo.. I assume you will joinging every now and then!
