I'm on a Roll!

I love coming home and taking little breaks from life. When I'm here, I really don't have a care in the world. I can do what I want. I don't have to shower, I don't have to work, I don't have to be productive...it is glorious. Thankfully, I have not been that lazy...yet...! I've been working out everyday and doing chores around the house. My task for today is to clean/organize the mountains of toys in our basement. I had meant to take a before and after picture to accurately portray the craziness going on down there, but I forgot...so this will at least give you and idea of what our basement currently looks like:

Just pretend all of those coke bottles are stuffed animals, and you pretty much have an accurate mental picture. So far, I have stuffed 10 clear plastic bins full of stuffed animals, and I have about 50 crappy stuffed animals I'm hoping to throw away without Kaley noticing. She has millions of toys she has totally outgrown, yet she refuses to get rid of them...she actually cries and has a fit if you even mention it. If she continues at this rate, she will be buried alive in her belongings by the time she is 23.

Edit: I finished the basement and it only took me 7 hours! It looks amazing. I wish I could be a professional organizer, I'd totally rock at it.

In other news, I have an interview with SWC Schools on Monday! I was actually told I would get the initial interview, but it was confirmed today so I'm quite thrilled. The best part is, the principal I worked for in the past requested to interview me, which is fabulous. Prior to getting this interview I met with him to discuss interviewing and how to answer some of the questions. Now all I need to do is practice!! I would feel like an idiot messing up in front of him, especially after he pretty much told me word for word how to answer each question. Soooooooooooo keep your fingers crossed for me! It means a lot to mean to work in this district, and I can't afford to eff up this interview! If I do end up messing up an interview where I was given most of the questions and answers ahead of time, I will probably stay in the fetal position for life, become incredibly obese, and shave my head. That would be no good, so please send happy thoughts my way on Monday June 11th!

Congrats on organizing the basement, it sounds like it was pretty challenging. Did Kayle part with any of her toys?

Which school is the teaching job at? Maybe someday you will be Colton's teacher... if we stay living in this house long enough and if you are at the right school... hey it could happen. I will keep my fingers crossed for you... I am sure everything will be fine. Besides if he asked for you personally he must already really like you! Good Luck... let me know how it goes... I don't work that Monday so we can go out for drinks if everything goes good. And if everything goes bad we will go out for shots!!!

Technically, Kaley did not part with any toys that she is aware of. There are 12 big garbage bags filled with junk, and some toys may have fallen in. She is also unaware that 4 garbage bags filled with stuffed animals will be given to charity.

Buddy! Congrats on the interview! I will send all the good luck vibes I can muster your way that day!

It will be fantastic, don't psych yourself out. Obviously this guy already thinks you're the shit. ;)
