The Good: I found out that my interview score is high enough to move me into the next round. Yay me! I'm a step farther than I was last year...so keep your fingers crossed I get interviews in August! I don't even want to think about having to sub again next year.
The Bad: I got a speeding ticket yesterday. My first one ever. I'm seriously so sad and angry about this. I mean, yes I was speeding...68 in a 55, but why couldn't I have just gotten a warning?! I have a great driving record. I suppose it is a good reality check, considering I always go 65-70mph on that road (Woodbury Drive/Keats/19), but seriously, it is almost hard NOT to speed on parts of that road. I caught myself going 70 today without even realizing I was going fast. Clearly a bad habit has been formed. Damn that police officer for catching me.
The Ridiculous: My teaching materials for summer school have yet to arrive. I went to pick them up on Sunday, and only the math books been delivered. So for the past 2 days I've been winging my lessons, totally relying on a few supplemental books that we were given during training. Thankfully the kids are great...really really nice kids. That makes my job so much easier, and much more enjoyable. If I don't get the materials soon though, I will probably cry. We only have 10 days left, and sooooooooooo much I am supposed to get through!
Okay. I'm off to the gym. I need to get buff.

The Good: Congratulations! I am sure you will do fine the next round of interveiws and subbing will be a thing of the past for you!
The Bad: I always drive fast on that road too. And out in the country areas there is no reason you can't drive like 90! Although I am surprised that is your first speeding ticket ever, I got my first when I was 16 and my second when I was 18.. but they haven't caught me since, knock on wood.
The Ridiculous: I can't believe you don't have any of your materials. When you only have 12 days to teach something they should be damn sure to have the materials delvered on time. Good luck, I hope they show up soon.
