My Pretty Little World: Here we go.

Ugh. I already fell behind in blogging! I suppose that is not surprising. Here's what has been happening the past 2 weeks.

1. I weigh 132lbs. I believe the picture below shows off my 5 chins quite nicely. This constant weight gain over the past 2 years has definitely scared me. I mean seriously, it's been about 5 pounds a year since college. If I keep that up, I'll be a monster in no time. So, I went back to Lifetime yesterday and renewed my membership. The elliptical at home has been A BIG WASTE OF MONEY. I am not motivated on my own. I need kickboxing and weight training classes.

2. On to happier topics. My trip home was fabulous. Lots of drinking, lounging, tanning, and good times. I feel very blessed to have such wonderful friends...I just wish all of my friends lived in the same state!

Fun Fact: I was terrified of Anna when I first met her. I thought she was way too cool to hang out with a nerd like me (remember...I wore Mickey Mouse flannels...). I can't remember when we actually started talking, but she intimidated me for years.

Fun Fact: Jeannie and I once made videos of us stripping. Currently they are MIA. I wish I knew where they were though. We stripped to Spice Girl songs. Oh, and we thought that was cool. We were ridiculous!

Fun Fact: Once during our junior year, Jeannie, who didn't have her drivers license at the time, drove me and a boy around in my dad's car so we could make out in the backseat and not have to park anywhere. That is a true friend.

Fun Fact: Courtney (far left) is my personal attendant when I get married. She has no shame. She will do anything, including eating a random, old, funnel cake left at the bar by a stranger.

Fun Fact: Abb is my favorite sister.

I miss Illinois already, but it is nice to be back home. I'm going back to Elmhurst the weekend after the 4th, so I suppose I can't be too sad. I swear one of these days I need to stop traveling so much. I'm becoming ridiculously spoiled.

3. Summer school starts Monday and we have yet to receive our materials. We can pick everything up tomorrow (Sunday) night after 6:30. So that means I will be lugging tons of books, snacks, and teaching supplies into my classroom late tomorrow night. Fun times. Exactly what I had been hoping to do on my Sunday evening. Aside from getting everything set up, I will have to do some planning. I'm looking forward to this program, I just wish everything was a tiny bit more organized.

4. I am pretty sure I can find out on Monday if my interview score was high enough to move on to the next round. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

5. I still haven't unpacked from my Illinois trip. I finally went grocery shopping today, but I only put the stuff that needs to be refridgerated away. Everything else is laying on the counter cause I'm too damn lazy to do anything productive. I have a lot of work to do today.

6. My friend Maja is engaged! I am not...in case you were confused. Maja...YES, Betsy...NO. It seems like EVERYONE is getting engaged before me! At least Andy and I went ring shopping. I'm hoping I will be the next person I know engaged. I don't think I could handle another friend getting married before me!! Congrats Maja! :)
