Thursday Night Thoughts

* I am sooooo sick. Grrrr! Of course being sick HAD to coincide with the my 7 day junior high sub job (a job I'd been dreading since the day I accepted it), so I've been having a lovely week... Seriously, it's been rough. I have slept probably a total of 6-7 hours the past 2 nights due to severe coughing fits that kept me up most of the night, I have very little voice left which makes it hard to command attention, and in the middle of one class I had a severe coughing attack, it seriously lasted at least 5 minutes, tears were running down my face, I was close to throwing up, and there was nothing I could do to stop it! It was quite embarrassing to say the least. Amazingly, during my coughing fit it was supposed to be quiet work time, but since I was coughing and unable to stop them, they decided to have free time and move around the room and talk. Man do I hate junior high kids....

* I finished James Frey's second book My Friend Leonard. It definitely wasn't as amazing as A Million Little Pieces but I loved it anyway. If you haven't read these books yet you absolutely need to. A Million Little Pieces is the greatest book I have read and by far the most inspiring. Seriously, go buy these books ASAP!!!!

* I started selling things on ebay. I am addicted to watching my items and seeing if anyone has bid on them yet. I don't really even have anything cool to sell, I just wanted to see if I could make some money all the nice clothes that sit in my closet that I never wear. So far no one wants my stuff :( I've got 2 great pairs of jeans listed, soooo if you want to buy my old jeans my ebay ID is betsbets811.

*I just figured out why 2005 was not such a good year for me. Look at what I was wearing last New Years Eve and how dark my hair was! Totally unflattering outfit and overall frumpy appearance. My working theory is: the better you look New Years Eve, the better the new year will be for you! Just kidding :) I do find this picture really funny though. We look a lot different and much younger compared to this years pic.

* My mom bought her wedding dress for her upcoming THIRD wedding and I am not even engaged yet. Craziness!!! What is this world coming to?!?! I swore if my mom got married again before me I'd kill her. Andy and I are coming up to three years...a little more than one month away! Perhaps 2006 will be the year of engaged Betsy. Wouldn't that be fabulous?!?! As much as Salms and I fight, I can't resist his cuteness. See how precious he is?! I absolutely love him.

That is such a precious picture of you and Salms. Very funny looking at those two New Years pics next to each other. I kind of wish I had my long hair back though. :(

And you can tell by my eyes that I was drinking quite a bit more this year than last! Blech, I hate drunk Alicia pictures.

Haha, just realized I called Andy Salms, I didn't mean to do that, and that is totally a pet name with the two of you, not appropriate for me to be using it!

I am never wearing that sweater again. I can't believe I thought I looked good in it. Can you say fat cow?

lol. Alicia you can call him Salms. My cousins do, Abb does :) Salms is way more fun to say than Andy. It is funny how you kept denying being drunk...your eyes always give it away!!

Ang, I know what you mean...I haven't worn that shirt ever since I saw how terrible I look in that picture!!! But the sweater is super cute and I think you wore it recently to class and it looked fine!!!

As soon as I saw this year's New Year's Eve pic, I knew Alicia was drunk ;) I'm really sad that I'm not in those pictures! I need to stop going out of town over New Year's. However, those pictures just show how much more wonderful you all are year after year :)
