Stupid Post Office

I hate the post office. It is the most miserable place to go. I have been there 3 times in the past week and a half sending out things people bought from me on ebay, and each experience has been dreadful. No one there seems happy, the line is always at least 20 people long, and there are NEVER enough employees working. Today I was number 20 in line. I got there at 3:30 and I had to work at 4. I was hoping the line would move quickly, but no such luck. By 3:45 I was more than halfway through the line, and the line was actually out the door at this point, so there was no way I was leaving. I knew I'd be cutting it close getting to work on time, but I seriously was not leaving after investing so much line time. Of course, as I'm nearing the front of the line, the lazy eye employee walks away from her window and starts chatting with a co-worker for almost 3 minutes! (Yes I was actually timing her, because this is not the first time I've noticed lazy eye woman wasting valuable work time.) Seriously how rude. The line is out the door, no one wants to be there, and you are chatting it up with a co-worker who is on her way out the door. Biyatch. Anyway, lazy eye lady finally returns to her window and the line moves somewhat quickly, but I didn't get out of there until 3:55!!! Obviously I was late to work (I showed up at 4:05) but I called on my way so I didn't get in trouble. I felt sooo bad for showing up late that I HAD to say yes when I was asked to stay another hour. Grrr. By the time I left work I was so crabby I skipped my workout and came home to watch American Idol, even though I swore I would never watch that show again.

My day sucked. I would love to blame it on the post office, or the lazy eye lady, but it was really because I slept until 12, didn't do a damn thing all day, then scrambled to get ready for work and left the house at the very last minute.

Tomorrow will be a better day.

Buddy you should check out that post office online stuff. I wonder if you could use that and just have them pick it up at your house. I don't really know how it works, but anything would be better than lazy-eye lady. I know exactly what you mean--people at the post office don't care how long the line is--they will just take breaks or stop to chat whenever.
