Andy and I have created a little challenge for ourselves this holiday season...losing lots of extra fat. Currently I am at my heaviest weight ever and Andy is approaching his, so we figured now would be a good time to lose weight so we'll be nice and buff for our annual Florida trip this spring. We each set a goal weight, and when we reach that weight we get a reward. When I reach my weight of 113 Andy is going to buy me a digital camera, and then when Andy reaches his goal I'll have to buy him something of equal value. I have told myself a gazillion times that I am going to lose my extra stomach and thigh fat and I never follow through. I'm hoping the incentive of a beautiful digital camera will do that trick!!
I realize that I am by no means fat, but I would like to tone up again and be in better shape. Currently I weight 124 pounds; all throughout high school and college my weight was in between 115-119 so I can certainly stand to lose those extra pounds. I am worried that if I don't do anything about my weight now that I will end up a monster. Seriously, after college these extra pounds just magically appeared, I didn't really realize I was gaining weight until I weighed myself a few months ago. Since then I have maintained 124 pounds, but I'm scared I will slowly continue to gain weight if I don't do something about it now.
I have yet to come up with a concrete plan of action. Obviously it will involve eating better, drinking less pop, and working out more effectively, but I'm too lazy to set anything in stone right now. For Christmas my dad agreed to get me a personal trainer, so that will certainly be a big help for me. I enjoy working out, I just don't think I'm working out very effectively, so I know having a personal trainer will be very beneficial in the long run.
My goal is to lose 11 pounds by the end of January which I think is totally obtainable. Although Andy and I did decide that if we don't lose exactly the amount of weight we wanted, but there is a noticable difference in body fat, than that will count as achieving our goal. Tomorrow I am going to come up with my plan of action and hopefully be on my way to being a skinnier healthier person.

I wish you the best of luck buddy, and I won't say what I am thinking, and that is that you so totally do not need to lose any weight!
Oops, I guess I said it. ;)
Anyways, it always feels good to take better care of your body, and I know you're not the kind of person to go on a crazy crash diet, so I am totally rooting for you.
Good luck!
If you need a personal trainer, my friend Holly lives in the Chicago area (Wrigleyville I think) and she is a personal trainer. You could probably get a good deal. Let me know if you need her number.
