My Weekend

Weekends aren't so wonderful when you don't work much during the week. They are just normal days that drag on like the others. I sometimes find my self getting excited on a Thursday thinking...ohhh the weekend is almost here, then I realize that every day is pretty much a weekend to me (which isn't as fun as it sounds).

I had a nice weekend though so I'll leave you with the highlights:

Friday I really had nothing to do at all, thank goodness I woke up in time for my favorite daytime shows, TLC's A Baby Story and Bringing Home Baby. I then proceeded to lounge on the couch for most of the day, get a pizza, and rounded out the evening with another great show Three Wishes on NBC. Amazing huh? I bet you are wishing you had my life right about now.

Saturday we were supposed to go to a wedding but Andy had to work all day so I spent most of the day cleaning and rearranging furniture. These 2 activities have become staples in my life. Without cleaning I think I'd go crazy. Later on in the evening Andy and I saw Flight Plan then came home and had a couple of drinks while watching SNL. I was very pleased with the season premiere; last year I thought the show ended up being pretty weak, so weak that I actually turned of the TV during episodes because I couldn't handle the terribleness.

Today (Sunday) has been my busiest day. I worked until 1 then I met the Gramps for lunch at Perkins. I've clocked several Grandpa hours this week so I should be good here for about a week or 2. That sounds really terrible actually, I shouldn't say that...but spending time with him can be a little exhausting sometimes. After lunch I came home, took a quick nap, went to target to buy a new shelf and a couple more holiday knick-knacks, then came home to watch my favorite Sunday shows! Andy and I were supposed to hang out but he planned a "boys night" at the last minute and ditched me. Oh well, at least I have time to put together the shelf!!

Amazing how things like lunch with the Gramps and watching Baby Story qualify as weekend highlights huh?! Man I gotta start working. I go in tomorrow to fill out my sub registration so I can be subbing by Wednesday! I know I will start appreciating my weekends more when I'm actually doing things during the week.

Ohhhh I almost forgot the 2 best parts of my weekend!!

1. Abb ordered Andy and I Dave Matthews tickets for November 26th...his first show of his Winter Tour! I am sooooooooooo excited :) I am not a huge fan of his new CD but I love all the others, and his last concert I went to was amazing...so I'm sure this one will be just as great!

2. Angela and I came up with our haunted house schedule for October. Just thinking about it makes me happy. We've got our first one coming up on Friday....I absolutely cannot wait!
