I feel pretty guilty...I got called this morning to sub at my mom's school and I didn't answer. After all of my complaining about being broke (which I totally am) it was kinda silly...but they called at 6:15 and I would have had to leave at 6:35 to get there. There was no way I could have made myself look presentable in that short of time! Andy was FURIOUS with me though, so it wasn't the best way to start off the morning, but whatever. Thankfully I can start subbing tomorrow with the public school district. I like that they usually call between 5 and 5:30...that gives me plenty of time to get up and ready! I already have a job lined up for Thursday afternoon...so I'll be making money in no time!
I haven't been very productive today so in a minute I need to go and try to make up for it. We have a HUGE pile of laundry, 3 loads from yesterday, plus 2 loads from last week that need to be put away. The pile seriously is about knee high, maybe higher. Usually Andy and I each put our own clothes away, but last night I reallllllllllllllllly needed a foot/leg rub so I made a deal, he gives me the massage and I'll put away all the clothes. I'm totally regretting that decision right now.
I seriously end up doing all of the housework because Andy and I end up negotiating all of these little deals, and looking back on them, they really aren't all that fair. Our last deal involved him calling someplace for me (since I hate calling places) in exchange for me cleaning his bathroom. Funny how I agreed to that, but I am WAY better at cleaning anyway :) It's probably because he didn't grow up with the motto "A clean house is a fun house." Although Andy did say to me the other day "Don't worry about vacuuming, I can do that once a week." Once a week...how nice huh?! I prefer vacuuming every day or every other day if I'm lazy. I just think it makes the house look sooo much cleaner.
Okay, I'm off to tackle the laundry situation in the bedroom before Andy gets home. I have to make him think I had a super productive day so he won't be so mad about me not working this morning!!

You are definitly getting the short end of the stick when you make those little deals buddy! I would never be able to vacuum everyday-our house probably needs it, but it is just too big of a job for an everyday chore. I just want to come home from the hospital, sit on the couch, make dinner, eat, sit back on the couch again, and be in bed by 10:00. My days off are my cleaning days!
I'm with you Kate, vacuuming every day (or swiffering our hardwood floors) would be completely impossible. Sometimes I find it difficult to do the dishes from the night's dinner! Thank god for my every other Friday off and weekends!
