I was watching
What Not to Wear this evening and I realized that I am a borderline fashion victim. I do have good days (I can clean up quite nicely), but most days I go out of the house looking thrown together. I went through my closet and realized how many clothing items are either too small (thanks to my old obsession with skin tight shirts), to young looking, too slutty, or way out of style. I am really in need of a new wardrobe with a more sophisticated look. No more shopping at Abercrombie, no more buying shirts that say
Old Navy on them, no more incredibly tight jeans, and no more overly casual tiny t-shirts.
Going through all of my clothes was fun in a way, but also mildly depressing. I hate that I have gained weight since college. It isn't much weight, but it is enough to make me very self conscious in form-fitting shirts. I also hate that I am soooo damn short. I have so many pairs of cute jeans that are all way too long. I wear the same 2 pairs over and over because I am too lazy to take my other jeans to a tailor!
Here is the picture that makes me most depressed...cute tiny college Betsy. I tried that shirt on today and it made me cringe....certainly not as flattering now as it was back then.

I guess I should look on the bright side...at least I do not look like this anymore. Thank

goodness!!! Check out those yellow teeth. Ohhhh the wonders of Crest White Strips and professional teeth bleaching! :) This picture makes me laugh a lot. If you cover up the hideous side ponytail you will see a little boy...we'll call him Ben. (Seriously try covering the ponytail with your hand...it's amazing.) Uncover the ponytail and you have a very awkward/homely sixth grade girl. To this day I'm still shocked my dad let me out of the house like this.
As soon as I start making money I am going go out and buy lots of fabulous clothes and accessories! Or maybe someone should just nominate me for
What Not To Wear... that would be much easier.

eHee, buddy first of all, you are absolutely gorgeous with a perfect body, second of all, every time I see you you look so put-together it's sickening ;) I think you have a fabulous wardrobe. But when you do get the $$ for a good shopping trip, I'd love to join you, I am in desperate need of some cute fall stuff!
I think we should all go out and have a fun day of shopping...I need/really want a good pair of jeans.
