I LOVE This Time of Year!!

I LOVE this time of year! The cool crisp air today reminded me that Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are right around the corner! :) (Technically, I don't really like Thanksgiving, I use that holiday as my "kick off to Christmas" day; this is when I bust out the Christmas tree and of course, the festive music.) I can't believe how sad I was when summer ended, fall is sooo much better, I'm amazed that I failed to realize this earlier! Who doesn't love haunted houses, carving pumpkins, watching the leaves change colors, wearing sweaters, snow, snow days, hot chocolate, christmas movies....oh man I could go on and on about my new favorite season (I officially changed over from summer to fall, I think I've always claimed summer as my favorite season because everyone else always did...but I'm taking a stand this year.)

I really think my love for fall and the upcoming holidays has grown over the years, so much so that I bought my first "holiday knick-knack" at Target yesterday. I have NEVER been one for the knick-knacks; little figurines of mice holding hearts, porcelain heads from the dollar store....just not my thing, so you can imagine how surprised I was when I found myself not wanting to leave Target's very fabulous holiday isles. Seriously I wanted to buy several holiday items including a welcome sign for the door with ghosts and bats on it, a haunted house tealight holder, and a weird but festive pumpkin/bat/ghost wreath. I was amazed...so un-betsy like! I eventually settled on this pretty yet inexpensive festive item:

I figured I couldn't go wrong with a fall knick-knack, and I'm so pleased with my purchase that I cannot wait to go back and buy more festive decorations!

Fall is also my favorite season, I have been in such a good mood this week, all because of this gorgeous fall weather!

I really like that candle thing you got, I'm all about seasonal decorations, just haven't gotten into "holiday" decorations quite yet. I'm trying for a while to pretend like I'm not a lame old married lady... but it's getting harder to fend off the urges.
