Boo.

After ALL of the Braxton Hicks contractions I continue to have, I'm still only 1cm. WTF. I know they are practice contractions, but eventually they are supposed to help things along. I've been having them regularly for a good 3 weeks now. Even though they aren't painful, they are still uncomfortable, especially when I'm walking around. I was hoping there would be a little more progress. My doctor said a few more weeks...which could seriously mean my actual due date. Grr. I'm still holding out for an earlier arrival, but I'm trying really hard not to focus on it. I know Isla will come out when she is ready, but my anxiousness is getting the best of me!

The good news is that I did not gain any weight in the past week! Woo! All of the walking is definitely helping. My weight gain was seriously scaring me. Since I've already gained 42lbs, I don't really need to gain anymore. I'm obviously not trying to lose weight, just maintain. Thankfully, my feet aren't as swollen due to the cooler weather, so I hope to continue walking once or twice a day until Isla is born. Then I'm either hiring a personal trainer, or getting Lipo :)

Off to bed to attempt falling asleep. I've already tried once...

A personal trainer, or getting Lipo - that totally made me laugh out loud! You will lose it once she is born if you try (and like I said we can become workout buddies and motivate each other, although one of us will need to switch gyms)!! Hang in there and try to enjoy these last few weeks and hopefully the weather stays like this for a little while so you are more comfortable.

I am starting to panic, I have SOOOOO much to do before baby.

Havn't really had any of the Braxton Hicks contractions, just once or twice actually. I feel like I'm missing out...

You are going to lose a crap load of that weight right away when you're breastfeeding. No worries buddy, pregnancy weight gain is just one of the many things us women have to deal with. It's not fair, but at least you've got lots of us to commiserate with. ;) Maybe we can all be hot again by Christmas in time for a good buddy "hey" pic!

If you ever want a buddy to walk with during the day, let me know!
