6 Weeks!

All throughout the school year I would think of little projects I'd like to do, and then decide to wait until summer. Now that summer is actually here, I am beginning to panic! I have 6 weeks until Isla is born...and that is if she comes on time! What if she is early?! I might only have 4 weeks! I have so much I would like to do before she gets here. Thankfully, her room is just about ready and all of her clothes have been washed. That is one project I didn't want to be scrambling to finish. In the next 6 weeks I need to:
  • Scraft! (I really am still confused as to why I use this word. I think sometimes I forget that it is not real.) Seriously. I am way behind. If I want to make a baby book, I at least have to make a dent in the 1,000 or so photos I have stacked and waiting to be scrafted.
  • Write thank you cards for all of Isla's wonderful gifts!
  • Plan my Reader's Workshop for next year and find appropriate materials for low readers. (The third grades were split into high kids, and low kids. I got the low group which I am excited about!)
  • Figure out differentiated math centers.
  • Figure out my schedule in general for next year.
  • Work on modifying/improving different unit plans and organize my files at school. The more organized I am now, the less I'll have to do after school next year!
  • Decide how I'd like my classroom to be set up so I can make Andy come and move things with me in August :)
  • Find posters and other classroom things that I wanted to buy this year but didn't have enough money in my budget.
  • Write letters to my new kids coming into third grade, and my class from last year.
  • Scan in wedding pictures for my mom. I told her I would do this in December.

I'd like to have all of that done by the time Isla arrives, so when she is born I won't have anything major to do aside from spend time with her! Now all I need is a lot of energy and a little motivation...
