The crib is totally different than what I originally pictured. But I love the color and I love how modern it is.

There are no pictures of the dresser so just stretch out this changing table and you have the idea. The dresser will double as a changing table...no need to buy both! Plus we are trying to save up for an amazing (overpriced) glider.
I thought your Daddy would hate all the bedding I liked, but he loved this one immediately. I love the pink and the green...it's very simple and pretty. I don't like loud and crazy rooms. And I don't approve of Disney Princess or Dora the Explorer bedding. If all goes as planned, you will never know what these things are.
We have been getting mixed reactions on your name. Most people think it is pronounced "is-la" or "ees-la". I realize this may cause you some problems in the future, but I think it is a beautiful name AND it's uniqueness pretty much guarantees there won't be 3 other girls in your class with the same name. I always felt bad for all the Jennifers and Sarahs back in elementary school. I once had a class with 3 Jennifers and the teacher made them choose who would be called Jennifer, Jenny, and Jen. Popular names are not cool in my book. (That's why if you were a boy we decided not to go with Ethan. It was number 3 in popularity last year and number 1 so far this year.) We did steal the name Isla from your Auntie Abby, so in return she was promised Godmother status. Your middle name is very special. My Grandma Bern and Grandma Bunny had Elizabeth as their middle name, your Dad's Grandma's name was Elizabeth, and that is also my name. So, there was no debating on that one.
You are so wiggly inside of me, probably thanks to the caffeine I never fully cut out of my diet. The ultrasound technician and the doctor were both very surprised, and even laughed to see you moving so much. I feel you kicking and moving all the time! If you are anything like your parents though, you will become lazy and love sleeping in no time.
Only 19 more week until I see you! I wouldn't mind if you came a week or 2 early though. We've got our family vacation August 1st and I can guarantee you won't want to miss it!
Love,
Mom

You're not going to let your daughter watch disney movies!? Poor little thing.
Love all your nursery stuff, it will be quite adorable buddy. That is such an exciting part about being pregnant, I've been getting motivated lately to "think" about decorating the nursery. I've only bought a lamp shade though so far, so you're way ahead of me. =)
You will change your mind about the Disney Princess Girls once you see all the cartons that are out there! And I agree Dora is annoying, but at least she is teaching the kids something unlike so many other stupid shows! Coltons favorite right now is Diego (Dora's Cousin) and he knows stuff about animals that I never thought a two year old could understand!
I love the nursery set and bedding, I can't wait to see it all set up and ready to welcome Isla! We have to get togeher soon.
Lol, Mandy I love how Dora yells EVERYTHING. It is so bizarre. As annoying as the show is, I think Dora/Diego is pretty darn cool actually, kids seem to somehow ingest insane amount of knowledge from watching that show.
That's not to say I'd put up a Dora wallpaper border in my kid's room. ;) I totally hear you on that Bets.
"Swiper NO SWIPING!"
I will let them watch those shows, but I will never allow outfits or room decor with annoying characters. I believe this stems back to my Mickey Mouse sweatshirt days! I wish my dad would have said, "Betsy, you are 13, Mickey Mouse sweatshirts and flannels are NOT COOL. I am not letting you buy these." But that never happened and I was humilated my freshman year. My kids will not be having that problem!!
Lol. Yerp. You will be doing your kids a very kind service if you keep them out of those kind of clothes. I totally agree. While I'm fine with the movies and the toys, ugh, I am really not a fan of any items of clothing with characters of any kind on them. I am sorta snotty about it.
I'm glad I'm not the only one snotty about character clothing :) I just find them disgusting and tacky. I don't wear shirts with Michael Scott's face on them, or jumpers with the cast of One Tree Hill embroidered on them...so why must kids wear these crazy character clothes? It doesn't make sense!
You are too funny, although I do agree! Colton has received a few shirts with characters on them and we only wear them around the house or to Grandma's house... never out in public!! I just think he needs to look good when he leaves the house... and is very tough to pimp an Elmo shirt!
