It's the most wonderful time of the year...

*EDIT: I really wasn't drinking wine at all. I was just trying to throw ALICIA off my pregnancy trail. Minus the drinking, everything else is accurate!

I have a headache. I never really drink wine much, but had my fair share on Thursday and last night, leading me to feel crappy. I have a whole unit plan to write on ears, hearing, and sound and I left it to tonight. Tired and hungover. Should have seen that coming. Going out with my dad, the drink pusher, pretty much leaves you hurting unless you have the tolerance of a 600 pound man. I do not.

My Thanksgiving break was fabulous...let me give you a day by day bulleted description of events. This will allow me to continue procrastinating on my unit plan.

Wednesday: A has Wednesdays off, so it is the first day we've had off together since summer. We spent the day being very lazy in bed, and then hit up the mall and saw Role Models. I belly laughed several times.

Thursday: Christmas decorations set up, yummy breakfast cooked by A, then we headed over to A's Uncle's house for a huge dinner with all of his family. I love turkey. I had too much wine, and started feeling a little questionable after dinner. We left before pie and I felt jipped the next day.

Friday: Did nothing aside from see the doctor for my yearly fun checkup. This would have been a great time to get school stuff done. If only I could time travel...

Saturday: Picked up the fun club from the airport and headed over to my Uncle's house for a little lunch gathering of hot dogs and potato chips. Then we headed straight to the Marriott downtown to start pre-drinking before the game. Have you ever stayed in a hotel with 5 people, and needed to get 3 hotel rooms? This is the craziness that is my family. We had a master suite with 2 adjoining rooms, one on each side. My dad got his own room, Tom got the master suite, and A and I shared a room, while Abb was banished to a cot in my room because neither my dad or Tom would share a bed with her. Due to A's drunkenness, he was kicked out of my bed and slept on the couch. So Abb really could have had a bed all along. But that isn't the point. The point is, how ridiculous is it to get 3 rooms for 5 people?! NUTS. We sat court side at the Timberwolves game...even thought they lost it was still fun to watch basketball that close. We could hear everything the players said! After that we hit up the lobby bar for a few then headed up to the room to watch House Bunny. Terrible movie. Do not watch it.

Sunday: Hangover strikes. Get up late, head to AppleBee's in Block E for lunch on the indoor patio. Weird. Then Abb and I saw Four Christmases in a very empty theater. One of the funniest movies I have seen in a while. LOVED IT. Then I got some much needed Coldstone ice cream, said goodbye to the fam, drove home, sat online, had it my way at BK, and now I'm writing this.

All in all, I had a fabulous break. Now I don't get another day off of school until Christmas break. I may die. That is too long. 3 solid 5 day weeks. Ugh. It's gonna be rough. Thankfully I have Christmas movies to get me through the tough time. Man I love this time of year!!

*Oh, and to those people wondering about my secret....it is not even about me at all! I wish I had something exciting going on in my life. The only awesome thing happening is the fact that I've gained so much weight I needed to buy new pants on Wednesday. Oh wait. That is the opposite of exciting. That is really depressing actually. Workouts begin tomorrow.

Dang! I had convinced myself, Dan, and Suzi that you were pregnant! =) Oops... I'm such a gossipy instigator. (No worries, I have continued to keep your new secretish blog to myself.)

Your break sounds amazing, mine was too, SO MUCH laziness. Dan and I basically got into a routine of drinking pots of coffee, reading, watching movies, and snuggling... all day long for three days in a row. I am dreading going to work tomorrow!

I totally wish your secret was that you are pregnant! That would be awesome - I cannot wait to see you and A with a little baby!! As for the hangover, that sucks! I can't rememeber the last time I had a hangover (and I don't think I ever want to have one again). I had a great Thanksgiving weekend too - although I didn't eat nearly enough Turkey (and I had to work on Friday so I didn't get a nice long break like you).

As for the hotel situation - that is totally uncalled for! Two rooms would have been plenty. And Courtside Seats at the Timberwolves game - I am so jealous you don't even know. Can I be a part of the fun club next time they are in town?

Abb is pregnant! ;-)

Wow, how is Ab keeping this from us? Alicia I think you better hurry up and have one too so that baby Ab and Baby Dan can be grinding partners!! Betsy this secret stuff is totally uncalled for. My only other guess would be Tom is pregnant!!

We are obsessed with pregnant. Ridiculous.

Because my other guess was that Mandy is pregnant.

And if that's true Mandy... you can tell me. I think you and I are the only ones reading this blog. =)

It is not me! I totally wish it was but no such luck for me this fall (yes we were trying) and now we plan to wait until late Spring to start tying again :( I don't want to be 7 - 9 months pregnant at my sisters wedding (and that is in August). So nope her secret is not about me! Is it about you Alicia - becuase that would be awesome!

Lol - but shhhh we're about to be trying too. (Though I don't think that's much of a secret.) My brother is getting married in August too, in Milwaukee, so we didn't want to start the last few months because I didn't want there to be a good chance of me missing it. I don't care about being a monster pregnant lady then, but I definitely didn't want to have a 3 week old baby. Or be due less than a week after the wedding. That wouldn't work. =)

It feels like we've put our lives on hold for so long waiting for the perfect time... and obviously there really isn't a perfect time. You know?

Well I hope it happens right away for you guys.. we need another baby in our group! And I totally hear you about putting life on hold... there is never a perfect time so I say go for it. But I also understand that you don't want to be delivering at their reception!! I wonder if Bets is reading these and wondering how in the heck we got totally off the subject of her post, if she wouldn't have said she had a secret then there wouldn't be 8 comments talking about it (or pregnancy in general)!!

We have totally taken over Betsy's blog comments. Ridiculous. Next time maybe I'll just email you. ;-)

I should really sign up for email notificatoins on this. I had no idea all of this commenting was going on!!

The secret involves NO ONE being pregnant! Get that out of your minds :) It is more of a "I accidentally killed someone" type of secret. Not me though.

The comments on here are totally out of control.... not about that "I accidentally killed someone" was it Ab? Just kidding I am done trying to figure out the secret.. becuase if I find out then it will no longer be a secret.. I will publish it is in minutes! Hope you are having a great week and I look forward to a new post - although I don't think the amount of comments will ever beat this one!!
