Pat, the lady who married my mom, will marry us. We haven't worked out the details, but she is free that weekend and willing to make the drive, so check that one off the list!
I found flowers! This pink is a little darker than the bridesmaid dresses so the bridesmaids will have bouquets with only orange roses, but all of the other flowers will be both colors. I think it will look fabulous, although I wish the bridemaids dresses were a tad darker now that I see these flowers. Grr. I hope it will look good!
I know this is probably a little brighter than the actual dresses, but it is close enough. Maybe I should just do all orange flowers??? Grr. Stressful. Any thoughts? In group pictures, I don't want my flowers to look weird next to the pink dresses!!

Okay, enough stressing over flowers. I guess I should wait until the dresses come in and actually compare them to different flowers before making my final decision.

I also found a DJ. He is roughly $2000 though. It would be for 7 hours...but does this seem reasonable?? I really have not done much research; I tend to pay for convinience and rarely go bargain hunting. This guy seems awesome, why not just book him?? Andy, of course, wants us to look at other people. Girls who have been married, what was the price range your DJs were in??

Up next, finding a photographer....then we are pretty much set! Well, with the big things. There are still plently of little thing that need to get done, but I will feel very accomplished when the big things are in place.

Here are a few of my opinions -
Flowers: I don't think the pink flowers in your bouquet need to match the bridesmaid dresses perfectly, I actually think too much matchy matchy is a bit strange. Do the pink in your bouquet, it should be extra special compared to the bridesmaid ones and I think it will be beautiful.
DJ: $2000 seems on the high end, but not totally unreasonable. Ours was about $1100, but if I remember correctly, we got a deal because somehow we knew the dude, but not I can't remember how. Hmm, that's funny. Anyway, I think he was regularly like $1500 though, and that was 4 years ago. Seven hours seems like a super long time, though, so you're getting a lot. And you get what you pay for in my opinion. The dance is a huge part of the party, you want to have a good DJ. So if you like this dude, and think its worth it, go for it. That price doesn't seem completely outrageous.
So pretty! I LOVE the colors and think you should stick with the pink in your bouquet.
I totally agree about the flowers. I think it will look wonderful and classy
