6 months, 20 days.

I am the worst bride ever. I am too tired and overwhelmed with lesson planning to put much effort into planning my wedding. My wedding dress finally came in, but I'll let it hang out at the store for a while because I am not ready to start alterations yet. What I need to do:

Find someone to marry us.

Find a DJ.

Find a florist.

Find a photographer.

The majority of these things most likely require a trip up to Arrowwood, but Andy and I don't have the money, or time at the moment. We also have to try the food, but really, how important is that?! Here are my options...

Cheap meal: Turkey medallions. Turkey is only for Thanksgiving and other holidays. Not weddings.

Medium priced meal: Stuffed chicken. Boring? Possibly. But chicken is pretty much the norm. And I love chicken.

Expensive meal: Some beef/steak weird grossness that I won't eat. I don't really know what it is, but I remember thinking I would never eat it, so there is no way we are choosing this option.

So really, chicken it is. If it isn't the greatest chicken in the world, I don't think anyone would care right? Now if the margaritas are bad...we will have a problem.

This is my biggest worry of the moment:

How in the world did these people get the ribbon so perfect?! I am stealing their idea, but I am thinking this might take a lot of time to set up! I'm also contemplating using a similar centerpiece...or I may go for boring tea lights and rose petals. I dunno. As much as I want to spend the money to have everything look lovely, is it really that important?!

This picture has pretty much been the inspiration for my wedding. When I tell people orange and pink I get some pretty weird looks. But seriously, how fun and summery huh?!

Oh balls, I had a long comment that blogger totally erased.

In short: I love the pink and orange. And rather than all the ribbons, maybe you could find an awesome fabric with a similar striped print to make table runners or full table cloths.

Anyways... you've got plenty of time for your wedding. Don't stress. If you need help, let me know!

I agree I love the orange and pink! And I am always around too if you need help with anything, or if you need someone to run around with you and look at things! I am always up for a road trip to Alexandria too just give me a call. Also I wouldn't stress about the food, if people don't like it they can just get drunk and then they will forget all about the food! hehehe.
