Ridiculousness.

Today has been ridiculous, and not in a good way. Let me recap:

1. I wake up to find my phone isn't working. It won't turn on and it doesn't respond when I put the charger in. Awesomeness. This happened to me in Mexico as well, and eventually it started working again when we got back to Minnesota. I figured it was a fluke and didn't think much of it. But now, when I'm not on vacation, and I have no home phone, I can't just wait for my phone to magically start working. So I take it to the AT&T store (which by the way, I hate AT&T) figuring they can do something about it. NOPE. The first time my phone broke, they sent me a replacement at no cost to me. Today, they basically told me I would have to take it to Minneapolis to get repaired, or buy a new phone. Oh, and since I haven't been with them for 2 years yet, I would have to pay full price. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! How ridiculous is that?! There was no water damage to my phone, I hadn't dropped it, PLUS it was a refurbished phone...so God knows what kind of problems this phone had prior to me receiving it. Grr. I am still quite aggravated with this. Luckily, Andy recently bought a new phone, so I am using his old RAZR for the time being, because I have NO money to buy a new phone.

2. My computer is riddled with viruses. A ridiculous amount of viruses. We got our laptop back a week ago, and it was pretty much brand new. All new software, Windows XP...everything was so nice and fast! But, this kid (Andy's friend's cousin) didn't tell us he never installed any anti-virus software on our computer...so within a few days of having our computer back, we managed to get millions of horrible viruses. We've installed AVG and it always detects and "heals" the viruses, but they still manage to come right back. I can't check my mail without 1918374940583873 pop-ups opening and pissing me off. I'm actually surprised I was able to blog this much without the screen freezing. Having no working phone or computer this morning, seriously almost threw me into a full blown panic attack.

3. I go to tutor today, as I do every Monday at 5pm, and today the family wasn't home. This seriously kills me. It isn't the first time it's happened either. Well, it's the first time it's happened for this family, but it has happened twice before with the other family I was working with. I get so irritated when this happens. Not only does it waste my time, it wastes my money. I could have done a million things this evening, but I had to plan around tutoring. I don't think families realize that this is really my main source of income this summer. I think I'll have to start charging if this happens again.

4. Speaking of tutoring, the other family (the family who wasn't home TWICE) called to cancel two Thursdays ago. I called back to reschedule that same day and never heard anything. I called back and left a message this past Thursday to make sure everything was okay, and see if she wanted to reschedule and again she hasn't called me back! I mean seriously....just be polite and call me back. If you don't want me to tutor anymore, just tell me! Plus, they owe me 15 dollars. So here's the thing, do I call and get the money from them, or just forget about it?? As much as I want the money, I can almost guarantee she won't return my call.

I'm off to workout. I feel like today was a total waste, so I might as well do something productive to make me feel better!

What a horrible week! I would definitely get your $15. Send them a letter or something with an envelope with your name on it. How rude! And you should definitely charge those people for not being home. It's one thing if it was an emergency, but if they forgot, you should be paid. Daycare people do it all the time!

I totally agree, even if you kid is sick and you don't bring them to daycare you have to pay! You wasted your gas driving there, the least they can do is pay! I can't believe that people are that rude. And for the phone, I understand. Frankie goes through phones so fast.. and usually it isn't his fault. He just has the worst luck with phones, and T-mobile is the same of AT&T, they do not care about you once you are a customer. I hate all cell phone companies. As for the computer, that sucks! Is there anything that you can do or have some of the viruses caused damage already? I think a trip to the beach tomorrow will help!
