I know, it has been waaaay too long. I'm lazy. Moving on.
Tomorrow Andy and I are starting our 11 day detox and I'm a little nervous how these 11 days are going to go. The program seems very healthy...we can eat a wide variety of foods such as broccoli, eggs, apples, pears, carrots, skinless chicken, celery, and oranges. (There are more choices, but these are the foods I'm sticking with.) There is no caffeine, no alcohol, no sugar, and no BREAD!! I have a feeling I am going to be very crabby these first couple of days. The program consists of 7 days eating the foods I mentioned above, 1 day of fasting where you drink this wierd "miracle juice", and 3 days of incorporating sugar free yogurt and hydrochloric acid into your diet. At the end of the 11 days Andy and I will have healthier livers, more energy, and hopefully be a couple pounds lighter (average weight loss is 4-5 pounds).
I am really looking forward to feeling healthier and more energized, but I'm very concerned with how I am going to deal with my food cravings. I LOVE any food that has the ability to clog my arteries and turn me into an enormous monster. Lately, I've been on a severe McDonald's kick (love those nugs!) and I have been drinking about 3 Mountain Dews a day! When it comes to food I am not a very strong willed person at all. I always give into my cravings and promise myself I'll work out the next day (even though I never do). It's a vicious cycle. I'm hoping that Andy will help me stay focused and keep me on track. We are going to the Twins game next Sunday which should be interesting. Nothing like ordering a large water and chomping on carrot sticks at the dome...awesome.
Keep your fingers crossed that I am able to make it through these next 11 days!

I can't even imagine doing a detox, there's no way I would ever make it. I am quite impressed Bets! Good luck, and let me know how it goes!
